Secondary Teacher Education Programme (STEP)

The Secondary Teacher Education Programme (STEP) is for practising and prospective teachers wishing to embark on a career in teaching within the wider Aga Khan network of institutions, with a particular focus on teaching the Institute of Ismaili Studies鈥� Secondary Curriculum at the Ismaili Religious Education Centres (RECs) to students aged 11-16.

STEP takes exceptional graduates and works with them to develop their skills and shape them into teachers and mentors who can inspire and teach.

The Master鈥檚 level teacher preparation aspect of STEP is being undertaken through a pioneering collaboration between听,听听and the Institute of Ismaili Studies.听

STEP has been developed to听support and promote the need for professionally trained secondary-level teachers who can teach the 亚洲无码 Secondary Curriculum within the Ismaili religious education system.听Therefore, candidates are recruited from听within the Ismaili community. It is a fully funded scholarship programme, which covers the cost of tuition fees, accommodation and includes a living allowance.听

Applications for 2024 entry open on 27 September 2023.听The deadline for applications is now extended to 30 October, 2023 at 12 noon (UK).
